As a Nova Scotia mental health counselling group, we strive to be available to you as soon as possible; we offer a two-week guarantee! Our promise to you is to be a positive, unconditional advocate in your life. We will match you up with the best possible mental health counsellor fit! We can offer in person counseling, online counseling, or on the phone family counseling services, therapy to suit your needs and your schedule.

We have a child psychologist on staff as well as teen counsellors that are experienced in dealing with children of all ages. We are available daytime, evenings, and weekends for appointments. Whether you need relationship counselling, individual counselling or family counselling, we can help! We look forward to connecting!

Hello, my name is Jennifer Banks and I have been working with children & youth for almost 20 years in various schools as a School Teen Counsellor. As well, I have been working with adults for many years and strive to do my best to help clients achieve their goals. I promise to be there for my clients every step of their therapy journey through individual counselling, relationship counselling, or EMDR therapy. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. As well, if you are attending with a partner, as a couple, you will have the opportunity to explore your patterns and emotions in a safe, secure environment. I look forward to connecting with you!

Angela Peh Registered Social Worker

Hello I am Angela Peh and I am a clinical social worker. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) to provide hormone readiness assessments and I am a certified Cool Kids [anxiety] facilitator. I am in the process of becoming a certified CBT practitioner through the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (CACBT). 

My core belief is the value of relationship.  It is through authentic relationship we can work together and ultimately accomplish your goals.  If you are struggling in one or more of my areas of practice or are seeking general supportive individual or relationship counselling please reach out to determine if you are interested in working together. Lisa Beck Registered Social Worker

Lisa Beck is a clinical social worker who works with people of all ages to overcome mental health and emotional issues to help them resume an optimal level of functioning in daily life, employment and interpersonal relationships. This is done by providing a non-judgmental space to explore individual challenges, validating emotional responses and learn new skills to create change. Her philosophy of practice is that we are all doing the best we can at this moment with the knowledge and skills we have.

Hello, my name is Beth-Ann Prime. I am a Registered Social Worker who has been working as a therapist for almost 20 years. I have a lot of experience working with people struggling with their mental health and addiction related issues. I offer a warm and non-judgemental space. My goal is to be collaborative and recognize the unique and diverse experiences of my clients. I work to instill hope and optimism when things feel bleak or overwhelming. I want you to leave an individual counselling session with me feeling heard, having a sense of direction and with confidence you’ve found a safe place.

Although much of my focused work was with students and their families, I have supported many of my staff members over the years and feel that I have the experience necessary to help all individuals navigate life's challenges. Hello, my name is Anne Dobson, and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) in NS as well as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Hello! I’m Laura Dougall and I’m a registered counselling therapist (RCT-C), and certified Canadian counsellor (CCC). Prior to becoming an RCT-C in Nova Scotia, I worked as a counsellor in West Virginia where I experienced topics such as grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem, depression and anxiety.

I enjoy all things outdoors and can also be a homebody. I have a passion for athletics and have worked alongside high-performance athletes while previously playing soccer at an elite level. Above all, I strive to create a comfortable, and judgement-free environment as I can understand the complexity of seeking support. I look forward to chatting with you, and supporting you in reaching your goals.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed while incorporating techniques from solution-focused brief therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and motivational interviewing. I believe my role is to provide support in identifying your values and better understanding unhelpful patterns, while utilizing personal strengths and developing new skills to move closer to what’s most important. Hi, I'm Brennan and I have a masters degree in Clinical Social Work with over 20 years of experience as a Therapist. I'm trained in a variety of approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and (DBT) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, (CBT). I'm a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ community, experienced in family therapy, and can also provide general counselling with numerous life issues. I've treated individuals facing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, in both youth and adults. For me, good therapy is a mix of listening skills, expertise, creativity and goal setting. And sometimes a bit of humour too. In my spare time I enjoy guitar, hanging out with my pooch and being a dad.
