Jennifer Banks Registered Counselling Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist

Hello, my name is Jennifer Banks and I have been working with children & youth for almost 20 years in various schools as a School Counsellor. As well, I have been working with adults for many years and strive to do my best to help clients achieve their goals. I promise to be there for my clients every step of their therapy journey through individual counselling, relationship counselling, or EMDR therapy. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Angela Peh Registered Social Worker

Hello I am Angela Peh and I am a clinical social worker. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) to provide hormone readiness assessments and I am a certified Cool Kids [anxiety] facilitator. I am in the process of becoming a certified CBT practitioner through the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (CACBT). 

My core belief is the value of relationship.  It is through authentic relationship we can work together and ultimately accomplish your goals.  If you are struggling in one or more of my areas of practice or are seeking general supportive counselling please reach out to determine if you are interested in working together. Lisa Beck Registered Social Worker

Lisa Beck is a clinical social worker who works with people of all ages to overcome mental health and emotional issues to help them resume an optimal level of functioning in daily life, employment and interpersonal relationships. This is done by providing a non-judgmental space to explore individual challenges, validating emotional responses and learn new skills to create change. Her philosophy of practice is that we are all doing the best we can at this moment with the knowledge and skills we have.

Hello, my name is Beth-Ann Prime. I am a Registered Social Worker who has been working as a therapist for almost 20 years. I have a lot of experience working with people struggling with their mental health and addiction related issues. I offer a warm and non-judgemental space. My goal is to be collaborative and recognize the unique and diverse experiences of my clients. I work to instill hope and optimism when things feel bleak or overwhelming. I want you to leave a session with me feeling heard, having a sense of direction and with confidence you’ve found a safe place.

Agnieszka Gallina Registered Counselling Therapist

Agnieszka received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dalhousie University where she focused her studies on learning theory and the interplay of environment and behaviour. Following her passion in how unhelpful habits and behaviours lead to dysfunction in relationships and connection within, she continued her studies in applied behavioural analysis, completing her advanced diploma in behavioural intervention and went on to complete her Masters in Counselling Psychology. She has worked with young adults with challenging behaviours and instructed for Dalhousie’s College of Continuing Education where she helped students reach academic success through an understanding of how emotional reactions and behavioural patterns can lower one’s ability to succeed in reaching goals in life. Agnieszka has spent the last 5 years working with men and women with addiction and substance abuse disorders with co-occurring mental health issues. Her work in this field has led her to develop a strong person-centred approach when working with clients with an emphasizes on the importance of strengthening one’s self-identity, self-worth and self-compassion. When not working with clients Agnieszka enjoys spending her time outdoors with her family and two dogs.

Hello, my name is Tracey White. I have been working with students and their families for almost 25 years in various capacities in the education system. I understand how many families can struggle to cope with the demands of everyday life. I have always felt passionate about making time to listen and provide support. Although much of my focused work was with students and their families, I have supported many of my staff members over the years and feel that with my education and experience, I can support both individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My counselling promise is to listen to your story and support you as you navigate these challenges and changes. I will work with you to create a safe space where you feel seen and heard so that you can share your worries and concerns.  Making sure my clients feel seen and heard is also a priority.

Hello, my name is Brandon Yeo and a Registered Counselling Therapist candidate (RCT-C). I take a holistic approach to counselling and firmly believe the client is the expert of their own lives. I meet client's where they are at in their life and aim to create a safe, non-judgmental counselling environment to explore their mental health concerns.  I take a strengths-based approach using a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, and a dash of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help client's move forward in their mental health journey. My goal is to help empower individuals to live the life they want to live. Soon I will be offering adventure therapy where I will be taking client's outdoors! I will also be offering a men's group and adolescents boys group. In my spare time I like to be with family/friends, create music, play basketball and golf, hike with my dogs, read, teach, and play poker.

Hello, my name is Katie Witten and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist candidate (RCT-C) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I am passionate about supporting individuals in a welcoming therapeutic setting and enjoy working with clients of all ages. I believe in establishing a relationship with clients built on trust and genuine care and I tailor my approach to meet the client’s needs and goals. I see it as a privilege to get to know my clients as authentic individuals and to bear witness to their inspiring stories. Counselling can provide an opportunity to work together to implement change, learn new skills to cope, decrease suffering and increase self-compassion, well-being and joy. I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches, including emotion focused therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. My approach to counselling is one of deep empathy and compassion, trauma-informed care and strengths-based person-centred support.
