Frequently Asked Questions About Anxiety Therapy

It is recommended to attend sessions once a week for 4-6 weeks to allow enough time to get a sense if therapy will be helpful. However, it depends on the client and the reasons for coming to counselling. Either way, we will come up with a personalized plan for you and your needs or goals you may have.
You will leave feeling “lighter” and may feel a shift towards peace and calmness.
We recognize how difficult this can be and how much courage it takes to reach out. We will make it as easy as possible for you to have the right therapist that fits you, and will work together, at your pace. Whether you choose online or in person sessions, we will help you every step of the way. The first step is either calling or texting us. Or, if you have already chosen which therapist you would like to work with, you can book directly online!
No, this would be a dual relationship and is against our code of ethics. We encourage every member of a family to have a different therapist, so that each member has “their person”, and feels confident in the relationship with their therapist.
No, we don’t know what is right or wrong for you! You do! We are going to support you to learn how to make decisions as a couple, and how to work out things together, with a calm, new communication cycle that works for the both of you.
We recommend weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks to build momentum, and then evaluate to see how you feel. Usually we will go to biweekly if the client feels like they are coping better.
